Once upon a time there were two men called Cully and Sully who made wonderful wholesome foods.They were powerful men and held one golden ticket to Ballymaloe.This was Caitriona’s lifelong dream and she decided that this was her chance.She slaved in her tiny kitchen to create the masterpiece that was Gingermaloe House! Cully and Sully were amazed,as were the fans of Facebook who showered her with ‘Likes’.Her dreams came true! She won the ticket to Ballymaloe and cooked happily ever after…The End!

Inspired by Ballymaloe House (check out the tower)! Here’s the time and thought process behind the house…3 initial dish ideas, 1 hour of internet searches, 7 books consulted, 1 old recipe received by post, 3 recipes tested, 9 gingerbread men made, 2 houses attempted, 3 sets of tears shed, 3 nights of no sleep (yes- cookbook by the bed), 10 hours baking, final recipe by Rachel Allen ‘Bake’ (saved the day!), 1 house fully constructed, 2 hours decorating, 1 house completed, 1 house yet to be eaten!

Thanks so much...hmm, perhaps I should have spelled it your way?! A lot of thought went into it all - I even made Cully and Sully gingerbread men, but they looked like giants beside the house, so I ate them instead!

Wow, that's great to hear from you! I tried to do your home justice but it's tricky when sweets are the only way you can... I also attempted to make your Cully and Sully camper van, but let's not get into how that turned out!
